Genesi was a Gold Sponsor of the Freescale Embedded Connectivity Summit, held at the Hilton Hotel in Austin, Texas, 4-6 October 2004.

Genesi Open Desktop Workstations, based on the MPC7447 powered PegasosPPC and the Aura Firmware, were featured in the Internet Café of the Freescale Embedded Connectivity Summit (ECS). The machines were offered with a choice of Linux/GNU operating system distributions, including Gentoo, Crux, Yellow Dog and Debian. Also supported and demonstrated were MorphOS, a lightweight fully featured non-UNIX based Amiga-compatible operating system, and QNX.
