San Antonio, TX - April 26, 2006 - Genesi has announced the avaliability of the MyPowerPC Grid service for building POWER binaries on Genesi platforms. The Pilot Program currently provides 3332 packages built for a number of reference platforms, both 32bit and 64bit. This service has initiated on a 20-node PowerPC cluster, building packages for a number of Genesi hardware platforms, and running the Gentoo Linux operating system. Genesi intends to support other POWER-based platforms and on the fly OS-buildplan execution as the effort progresses.
